How to get There
The nearest airport to L'Anse au Loup is located at Blanc Sablon - approximately 30 minutes drive to the west on a paved highway.
Travelling from the Island of Newfoundland to the Labrador Straits one must board the car/passenger ferry M/V Apollo, operated by Labrador Marine at St. Barbe and cross the Strait of Belle Isle (90 minute trip) to Blanc Sablon, Quebec. Blanc Sablon to L'Anse au Loup is a 30 minute drive east.
Travelling by road from anywhere in Canada to L'Anse au Loup and the Labrador Straits follow route 138 from Quebec City to Baie Comeau, route 389 from Baie Comeau to Labrador City, route 500 to Happy Valley Goose Bay and finally route 510 to the Labrador Straits. The drive from Baie Comeau to Red Bay (Labrador Straits) will be mostly on crushed stone but each year more and more of it is being paved.
