The town of L'Anse au Loup is currently advertising for a Life Guard to operate the community swimming pool for the up-coming (2007)summer season. The minimum qualification is that the successful candidate be at least 17 years of age and hold at least a Bronze Cross. A St. John Ambulance Safety-oriented Emergency First Aid course is also required.

At a recent Council meeting The Town of L'Anse au Loup approved its 2007 Operations Budget. While the assessed values of some properties have increased slightly, the tax rate, set by the town, remains the same as last year.
The Town Council of L'Anse au Loup is pleased to announce that its property tax rate will remain at 6 mills again in 2007 and continues to be among the lowest in the province.

Congratulations to Mary Jane Hudson-Cabot and Michelle Ryland on their election to the L'Anse-au-Loup Town Council. They were declared elected by acclamation on Monday, January 8, 2007 after nominations closed at 8 pm.
